Photo from the Brooklyn spring sale- whew! look at all that great gear!
I have been saving bags of clothes up for the past 4 years and they are all packed in vacuum sealed bags under our beds. I think it’s time for me to suck the air out of the bags and start organizing them for the next Be Green Kids Consignments Sale this fall. It just might take me that long to get everything together. It might be time for you too to start sorting your kids’ clothes, toys, strollers and puzzles to sell too. Be Green Kids Consignments offers a setting for parents to buy and sell gently used children’s items to reduce the impact on our wallets and the environment. The event will be at the lovely Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn on October 21-24, 2010. Be Green Kids Consignments Sale are only accepting the first 100 consignors who sign up- so don’t waste too much time figuring out if you want to do it- take the plunge.

After last season’s sale they found that they sold about 40% of their entire inventory. The “gear” and “equipment” sold like hotcakes – strollers, high chairs, ride-on toys, boppys, bumbo seats, booster seats, outdoor toys, etc. Toys and wooden puzzles were huge sellers as well. And clothes, well they sold a lot!
Drop-Off Appointments and volunteer shifts are available. You get to keep 5% more of your proceeds for every four hour shift you volunteer for.
