Have you been to The Toy Museum of NY in Brooklyn Heights? I’m embarrassed to say that I have only passed by it (more than a dozen times) and still have yet to go in. Have you? The museum is inside St. Ann’s Church on the second floor. According to NY1, the museum is just one room, but it is packed with hundreds of toys dating back to the 1870’s.
The museum, which not only is home to hundreds of toys and dolls, and various kids’ classes, will now be hosting a new Children’s Entertainment Series. The Series begins in October and runs through January 2011 with select Saturday shows at 1PM, featuring puppets, magic shows, and themed toy shows which will entertain all ages.
Reservations are required as space is limited. As of today, the website did not have a list of performers, but should shortly. Show tickets are $ 12 for adults and $9 children.
