From the moment you walk in to Dr. Azrak’s office, the kids start having a good time. Everyone is very friendly. The hygenist take time with each kid to talk about the importance of brushing and flossing, and Dr. Azrak is just awesome. He understands that kids my be hesitant to open their mouths a let him poke around with a sharp pick or a suction tube so he makes the whole process a big game with mini-rewards and applause along the way.

I read some positive reviews before I took my ten-month-old — he turned out to be very sweet with my son and eased my mind with a middle-of-the-road approach to our early dental issues.

Dr. Lois Jackson is pretty well known in the neighborhood- she is recommended and respected by pediatricians and has a great manner with children. She was thorough and not alarmist. She didn’t suggest unnecessary appointments- and suggested we come in when our son was a little bit older.
-KarenI love how patient Dr. Jackson is with children. She doesn’t make them feel rushed and works her way into their mouths- whether they stand up or sit down. She is very calm and has a nice soothing tone that my children responded to. The office is friendly and she ran about 20 minutes late both visits.

My wife and I both see Dr. Hara, though she does pediatric dentistry as well. Dr. Hara is really sweet, quick, fun and runs an extremely efficient office. I was told that I needed gum surgery from my former dentist and when I saw her, she said she could send me info for periodontists, but felt that it was merely a cosmetic question and medically unnecessary. I appreciated her honest opinion. She takes a lot of insurance. She has 2 young children of her own, so she likes working with children and appreciates the needs of pregnant and nursing women (no teeth whitening during those times and easier cleanings my wife said).

Our dentist is Dr. Terry Unchali, who is on Clinton Ave between Willoughby and Myrtle. I really like him as well- his office is very clean, and I am really glad that I found him. I’ve never had to wait for an appointment in his office. He never rushes me and gladly explains every little thing to me in great detail for as long as I need. I’ve called him many times as well and he’s always been really helpful and quick to return my calls. I believe he sees children as well.
