Here is one neighborhood resource you may not know about though they have been around since 1975! The Child Development Support Corporation is a multi-service social service organization in Clinton Hill that’s begun a new initiative to start a community art space on their 5th floor. They have the architecture plans, a new elevator (welcome strollers!) and they are raising funds to get it going. Their goal: to let people know about them and to get local artists and families to learn about it. They have already gathered well-known, local artists to work with them- called “Masters of Clinton Hill.” Which is to say, the free childrens’ classes next weekend will be pretty cool your kids will have time with quality instructors.
Tonight is the Starving Artist Art Show and Sale (sure hope the starving artists will also get some food there!)
