A few weekends ago my son and I saw Hansel and Gretel at the Galli Theater. It was wonderful. It was about 40 minutes long, so he didn’t get bored or squirmy in his seat, and it was totally interactive. He went on-stage a few times to “help” Hansel and Gretel scatter stones, clean the witch’s house, and make silly faces at the witch. He was totally absorbed. When it was over, he said, “Mama, I LOVED it.” They do different productions of fairy tales and I am sure we will go back for another one. It did help to read the story first, because they assume the kids already know it.
They also offer acting classes, acting camps (including a German, French, Spanish and Fairytale acting camps!). Classes and camps start at age 3 years.
