Are you raising your children bilingual? Or considering it? This Sunday, May 1st at the Mandarin, Spanish and French Language Expo, you can do language activities and learn all about raising bilingual children in Brooklyn.
The event will open with a Spanish concert by Bilingual Birdies and a Spanish puppet show called One, Two, Tres by P is for Puppets. Then join Lango Brooklyn and Families with Children from China for a screening of the funny “Speaking in Tongues”. The movie won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the San Francisco Arts Festival. It follows four diverse kids on a journey to become bilingual.
Schedule:
3:00 PM: French story time by Brooklyn Beanstalk and General Expo Opening
3:30 PM : Spanish language concert by Bilingual Birdies
3:45 PM : Spanish puppet show by P is for Puppets: One, Two, Tres
4 PM: Screening of “Speaking in Tongues”.
Chinese kite making provided by Lango Brooklyn.
Free babysitting all afternoon provided by Lango Brooklyn.
