PLAY, named “Best Playspace 2011” by New York Magazine and Pop-Up Adventure Play, are bringing Pop-Up PLAY Day to McCarren Park in Williamsburg.
In true Brooklyn fashion, this is a true “potluck” party. You are not only encouraged to bring your own picnic, but also your own everyday materials. Why? Families will give a second life to to their old boxes, toys, and fabrics to create a new imaginative play space. There will be contributions from the event partners (Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Karma Kids Yoga, Urban Rustic, Crif Dogs and more) to start the fun. Choose from activities like seed planting and worms (ah, no thanks!), bird seed and sensory play, making musical instruments, yoga, music and thankfully- some food will already be there in case you forget your own.
