Doug Moe is a Bad, Bad, Dad- Why? He doesn’t listen to those high-minded parenting coaches: Spongebob is cool and Cinderella- well, she’s super sexy. Doug’s new solo show muses on modern parenting- all the while wondering if he really is messing up “the most important thing in life”. His hilarious blog, Man Versus Child (because “the term ‘daddy blog’ makes me want to scratch my eyes out’) gives you a peek into his off-beat and hilarious humor. His subjects range from cultural commentary on Spongebob, The Weird in the Willows and, my favorite: Dapper Banana (Gap or Banana).
Doug Moe’s new one-man sketch show is coming to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (one of my all-time favorite theatres in NYC) tomorrow night and next Wednesday. The show, “Doug Moe is a Bad Dad” is about being a man and sticking up to Dr. Seuss. As a veteran performer at UCB and with apperances on 30 Rock and The Onion News Network, his live comedy act has been honed. Reviews have been great from Improvisation News and it was a pick from Cool Mom Picks. Prepare to laugh your Squarepants off!
