Enjoying Thanksgiving does not mean you have to gain weight- just get out for a trot! Prospect Park Track Club does a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot every year. It’s a friendly run on Thanksgiving morning, November 24th at 9 a.m- and that means you can get out of doing some kitchen prep! The trot is just five miles, so it’s just enough to set you up to eat without guilt.
Act fast and get the early registration rates. There will be medals for all registered finishers, refreshments after the run and a race souvenir. Information is on the website about parking (there is NONE in the park due to construction), travel directions, course map, packet pickup, etc.
The Course
Due to construction, a slightly modified course has been designed: race starts and finishes near the Oriental Pavilion, off the Park’s Lincoln Road entrance.
