Big Brooklyn Playdate at Brooklyn Public Library

We’re used to thinking of the library as a quiet oasis in the city, but tomorrow, the Brooklyn Public Library will become the hot spot for the second Big Brooklyn Playdate- and that definitely means noise.

From building a peek-a-boo tunnel to making edible play dough, this hands-on, all day event will teach parents ways to play with your child and encourage early literacy at the same time. Brooklyn Public Library’s Read, Play, Grow! programs offer ideas about books to read and games to play that are fun and stimulate development. The Big Brooklyn Playdate is a part of the Read, Play, Grow! program and at this debut, parents will be able to see how using activities, books and games can lead to strong reading skills.  The event is best suited for children birth and up and their parents or caregivers.
