Some days you wake up with an itch to try a new activity with your child, but what? You can always look at our daily calendar or you might consider stopping by Dean Street Restaurant in Prospect Heights to check out their daily kids’ events. All programs begin at 10:30 am and if you get there early, you can grab a coffee for yourself, a juice for the kid and pastries for you both. The cafe opens at 10 am and lunch begins at 11:30 am. They have a small kids’ menu (pasta or chicken tenders for $5) and desserts by Betty Bakery (most notably the Ring-A-Ding). The rest of their menu includes burgers ($12) , sandwiches ($10 and up) and soups ($6).
