Got a Talented Kid? Workshop Has Recommendations

Cat loving children might like to dress up as cats, read cat books, visit a vet or more....

Do you have an advanced learner? Maybe you have seen the signs of it but don’t recognize it or maybe you have a child in the G & T program.

Is your child is an early reader, is intensely curious or sensitive, bored or acting out in the general ed classroom, a bit too good at negotiating, showing advanced abilities in music, art, math or other areas? If you answered yes to any of these, then you might consider a workshop tomorrow night that aims to help you find out how to support your advanced learner.

The P.A.L. Workshop Series in New York City plan workshops for parents of accelerated learners including one for parents new to the NYC G&T process.

Tomorrow night’s seminar is:  Supporting Your Child’s Gifts & Talents: A Talent Development Roundtable.

Don’t miss a rare opportunity to hear experts Janine Caffrey, author of Nurturing Brilliance: Discovering and Developing your Child’s Gifts and Hollingworth’s Heather Pinedo-Burns as they explore ways for parents to support the strengths and talent areas of their children.

Get an actionable list of things you can do throughout the summer to support your child’s strength areas. Multiple intelligences and talent development will also be the focus of the experts.

Parents will lend concrete recommendations of local NYC-based resources, activities, events, and summer enrichment programs for your child to stay connected with peers and have hands-on learning opportunities throughout the summer. Plus, meet other like-minded parents at this informal session for elementary school parents.

Seating is limited, so register now for their last FREE event this Spring.
