Wondering About Your Pre-K Admissions?

This week notification parents got their letters for pre-kindergarten admissions.

Did you get an offer? If you did and are happy with it, then the pre-registration period is from June 12 through June 22, 2012. For a list of documents required for pre-registration, check your offer letter.

If you aren’t happy with your offer or didn’t get one then, starting Monday, June 18, you may contact schools to request to be put on a waitlist.  If seats become available, schools will make offers based on the same admissions priorities used for the main admissions process. To access a list of schools with available seats, click here. Note: Seat availability is subject to change.  Contact schools directly for more information.

Don’t forget that Pre-K programs are also at community-based organizations (CBOs). If you are interestedvin a CBO, contact them directly to apply. They  manage their own admissions/application process so the best thing is to call them and ask them about seat availability and enrollment.

You can find a list of CBO UPK programs in the Pre-Kindergarten Directory.  For more information about how to find and select a CBO program that is the right fit for the family, click here.
