Learning Kitchen
No matter how settled you are in your home, it’s always fun to look at real estate. Real estate is real estate- and so I was just as curious to see the inside of the new Brooklyn Heights Montessori School (BHMS) expansion as a new apartment building on the market. When BHMS offered to send me the photos of its new facility, of course, I replied, “yes.” I thought you might be curious too.
BHMS is located in Cobble Hill Brooklyn and is the only accredited Preschool-8th grade Montessori School in New York City. In 2009, BHMS purchased the adjacent fire patrol station at 12 Dean Street, adding 11,000 square feet to its main building.
The renovations include a new library, a learning kitchen, larger outdoor terrace space, suites including additional classrooms and common spaces for the Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School programs as well as the Firehouse Theater, a state-of-the-art performance space.
