BPL Announces App to Make the Library More Accessible

I use the library a lot…and I have the fines to prove it! Between my book club books, keeping the kids’ shelves fresh with new books and needed research materials, I am constantly on the BPL website searching, holding or renewing all of my books.

bpl_mobile_appSo, I was really excited to hear that the Brooklyn Public Library has just launched its first mobile app My BPL, now available for iPhone and Android. My BPL is a free app that allows readers to personalize their Library experience on-the-go as well as find new great titles from recent arrival and NYTimes Bestseller lists. • Search the Library catalog
  • Save to-read lists of eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • Manage their Library account (renew materials, place holds, etc.)
  • Find detailed branch information including full GPS/mapping capabilities
  • Scan an ISBN with their phone to search Library collections
