Hi everyone!
The first full week of Spring is here! NYC public schools are closed Monday March 25th to Tuesday April 2nd for Passover/Easter break which means there are a lot of special events on this list this week so be sure to read ALL the way down!
Just to name a few events in Brooklyn take a spin on the Prospect Park Carousel or learn about herbs at the Lefferts Historic House, see a musical at the NY Transit Museum or try out a free drop in class at ArtsCetera!
There are also lots of fun events outside Brooklyn! You can see a herd of thirty colorful life-size horses wandering around Grand Central, meet Annie at CMOM, see flowers at the Macy’s Flower show! Or travel even farther than Manhattan and head to the opening of Legoland Discovery Center in Westchester or visit the New York Botanic Garden and create your own terrarium in a jar or see if there are any new animal babies the Bronx Zoo!
Also this week usually museums open ALL the days of the week during the break like the Children’s Museum of the Arts, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan so be sure to look at museums websites while making plans this week!
If you have a weekly drop in event that you go to I would recommend checking with the venue to see if it is still on this week and next week. The libraries sometimes do not do story hours during school breaks!
Crossing fingers that the weather turns more spring like & if you hear of an event drop me an email at: events@achildgrows.com
Happy Passover & Easter and have a great week!
