April 8th – 11th 2013 Weekday Events in Brooklyn & Manhattan

karenkthejitterbugs

Hi everyone!

We went from wearing winter hats and coats on Wednesday last week to wearing no winter gear on Friday and now its cold again today (at least I was earlier!).  And now it looks like we are going to hit 77 on Tuesday!

Speaking of Tuesday did you know that the Brooklyn Botanic Garden has free admissions for everyone on Tuesdays (March-October)?  I bet that will be the place to be this Tuesday with the nice weather and budding trees and blooming flowers!

This is a week of music here in NYC!  You can try a Rolie Polie Guacamole class for free at Gumbo and Music Together & Musica Para Mi are having free trial classes in various places in Brooklyn (Ongoing section has more information).  Karen K & the Jitterbugs are having CD Release Jams this week at J&R Jr, Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain, CakeJoy, & The Playroom at EGG!

In addition to fun events for children we also have events for grown ups listed!  Just to name a few we have a Financial Planning Workshop, Boosting Your Child’s Immune System Naturally meetup and Parents Helping Parents workshops.

Have a great week and if you know of an event feel free to send me a tip at events@achildgrows.com
