This week seems to be the week of drama! We have Treehouse Shakers production of Hatched playing in Brooklyn & Manhattan and the off-broadway showing of Tickets, Please. We also have Rocking Chair Music at Caribou Baby and has anyone gone to the Habana Outpost Baby Breakfast? Tuesday looks nice!

Practitioners run, jump, vault and climb to find the best way of getting from point A to point B. Class begins with warm ups, stretching and conditioning workouts. Treehouse Shakers Presents Hatched A Seedling Drama at BAM (Fort Greene)
Tuesday May 7th 11a. Tickets: $20 + $2 fee. An Interactive Performance About Life On The Farm For Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers and Their Siblings Told Through Puppets, Live Music, Dance, and Story.
Intimately staged, young audience members are encouraged to interact with the newborn animals as they explore their worlds. Through movement and music, the calf learns to walk, the baby birds attempt to fly, and the lamb makes a new friend with the curious hatched chick. Audience members interact and play with the characters on stage; they give the chicks their feed, milk bottles to the lamb, are licked by the cow, and feed worms to the baby birds. Babies in the audience will be enticed by the animal sounds and textures, while toddlers will love watching and imitating their favorite farm animals as they come to life. Preschoolers will delight in learning about life on the farm and older kids will be entertained by the delightful storytelling, live music and dance. Hatched is a beautiful tale, told through exquisite visuals, music, and the exploration of baby animals on the farm. Fantastic for the whole family!

The dance style consists of a mixture of movements, including beat rocking and floor acrobatics. Class starts with warmup and stretching. Intimately staged, young audience members are encouraged to interact with the newborn animals as they explore their worlds. Through movement and music, the calf learns to walk, the baby birds attempt to fly, and the lamb makes a new friend with the curious hatched chick. Audience members interact and play with the characters on stage; they give the chicks their feed, milk bottles to the lamb, are licked by the cow, and feed worms to the baby birds. Babies in the audience will be enticed by the animal sounds and textures, while toddlers will love watching and imitating their favorite farm animals as they come to life. Preschoolers will delight in learning about life on the farm and older kids will be entertained by the delightful storytelling, live music and dance. Hatched is a beautiful tale, told through exquisite visuals, music, and the exploration of baby animals on the farm. Fantastic for the whole family!

47 plays, which include musicals, comedies, and dramatic pieces, were all penned by playwrights between the ages of 8 and 17. Seven of the plays were selected as part of our national contest. The others were all developed in workshops at Writopia Lab.
All plays will be presented off-book by professional actors, directors, and designers. In addition, 10 Writopians will present spoken word pieces as part of these shows.

With Granny’s encouragement, Wanda befriends “Monster,” thus turning a potentially fearful situation into a lesson in acceptance and friendship. All tickets are general seating.

In addition, the Prospect Park Carousel is one of the few in the world that is wheelchair accessible.
