More than 30 New York City parks are being transformed into Wi-Fi hotspots, where visitors and residents can connect to the Internet on their smartphones, tablets, laptops, or other Web-enabled devices.

All Cablevision and Time Warner Cable broadband subscribers can connect for free any time; everyone else can join at no cost for 30 minutes every 30 days, or pay 99 cents for one day of access. Here is a list of Brooklyn parks where the wi-fi is available:

1. Herbert Von King Cultural Arts Center
2. Coney Island (MCU Park Plaza)
3. Marine Park (Nature Center)
4. Wingate Park
5. Manhattan Beach
6. Gravesend Park
7. Brownsville Recreation Center
8. Cadman Plaza Park
9. Carroll Park
10. Prospect Park (Bandshell)
11. St. John’s Recreation Center

A full list of participating parks can be found online; additional Wi-Fi locations across the city will be launched on a rolling basis as negotiations with the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications continue. Here are instructions on how to connect to the free wi-fi available.
