The James E. Davis Stop The Violence Foundation will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its “Love Yourself” Stop the Violence walk on Saturday, August 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. The walk was founded by Geoffrey A. Davis and Councilman James E. Davis, who was shot and killed inside New York City Hall on July 23, 2003 by political rival Othniel Askew. (Read more about his tragic death here.)
The walk is one mile long. It starts at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue & Fulton Street and concludes at the James E. Davis Multicultural Museum of Peace on the corner of Brooklyn Avenue & Eastern Parkway.
