I am certainly not wishing this beautiful weather away but I am excited to learn that there will be ice skating in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park this winter! The new destination, which is called Lakeside, has been under construction since 2010 when the old Wollman Rink was closed. Lakeside will be a year-round destination for recreation, relaxation, and events with two ice skating rinks plus roller skating in the warmer months. The Prospect Park website says it will open late 2013. Awesome!!! Fingers crossed it doesn’t get delayed. And, I love that it have year-round activities.
