Open Play @ Brooklyn Robot Foundry (Gowanus)

Tue-Fri September 3rd-6th 330-630p.  $10/hour (not including materials fees- see below).  The open play sessions are open to kids who are as young as 5 and as old as 9.  Is an open ended activity time for your kids and is a great opportunity for you to drop your kids off while you exercise, shop or have a coffee date with a friend!  Your kids will have a great time building robot obstacle courses, crafting robots out of clay and found objects, creating marble runs, making giant Lego creations and much more. It is similar to “choice time” at school. The kids will have a blast and you will get to have some time on your own.

Material Fees:  The $10/hour price does not include the cost of making robots that incorporate electronics like our other classes do. Since we have been getting a lot of requests for kids to build actual electronic robots during Open Play, we decided to offer an additional option. If you would like to have your child build a robot with electronics, then there will be an added material fee of $14.95 (robot with motor and/or LED) or $19.95 (robot with a gearbox and LED). You can tell us at drop-off if you would like this option. If so, please note that your child must be staying for at least 2 hours to have enough time to build.
