Save these dates on your calendar because Boo at the Zoo is back at the Prospect Park Zoo the weekend of October 26 and 27! This is one of the best events of the season and this year will be bigger than ever before! We never miss this Brooklyn Halloween tradition.
Bring the whole family and spend the day (in costume!) exploring all the frighteningly fun events happening throughout the day. Along with the Wildlife Witch show, you will be able to create a creepy craft, visit the mad scientist’s lab, or boogie to some Halloween tunes with the Sea Lions. Join in the spectacular Halloween parade at the end of each day, and make sure to take a photo with the costumed creatures along the way. The pirate scavenger hunt might even lead you to a tasty treasure, but try not to walk the plank!

Bat Chats
Learn all about Rodriguez fruit bats in our nocturnal creatures exhibit.
Time: 11:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m., Animals in our Lives
Watch our baboons have a smashing good time when they receive their Halloween pumpkins!
Time: 2:30 p.m.
Wildlife Witch Shows
Enjoy a magical play about creepy creatures and witch potions. Live animal encounters are part of the fun.
Time: 12:30, 1:30, 2:00, 3:15, 3:45 & 4:30 p.m.
Costumed Characters
Creepy creatures will be available for photo-ops around the zoo. Meet all of them to complete your scavenger hunt and collect a treasure!
Time: 11:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
This interactive education center will be decorated for Halloween and open both days, with games and crafts for kids. Mother Goose might even stop by for story time!

Older children will go wild for our frighteningly fun barn, where spooky creatures and characters lurk!

Get into the spirit of the holiday with colorful face painting.
