Baby Massage Workshop: Tricks to Chill That Kid Out

 baby massage

Who doesn’t love a massage? Your colicky, nipple-confused, nocturnal newborn is clearly in desperate need of a rub down. You know that skin-to-skin contact is good for Petunia, but lying around with your screaming baby on your bare chest doesn’t seem to be doing the trick, so get yourself to Caribou Baby for their baby massage workshop. Maybe you’ve tried massage at home, but you felt as if you were going to push all her blood to her brain too quickly and cause some sort of Event (you’re a new parent and prone to these types of thoughts, totally normal). Or maybe you’ve been meaning to do it, but you are so desperate to put her to bed that you forget every time. This is why professional help is good. And it’s a reason to get out of the house and talk with other adults (who may be in a similar state of hygiene, flossing is for suckers anyway). Plus, even the Mayo Clinic says massaging your baby is a good idea. In the workshop you will . . .

Develop deeper bonding and attachment

Nurture body and mind development through touch

Learn techniques to help soothe and calm baby

Learn ways to nurture nervous system regulation

Create useful sleep rituals using massage

Learn techniques to address congestion, colic, and digestive issues

Explore ways to help feel centered, grounded, & relaxed amidst new parenting
