This time of year is perfect for a drop in sing-a-longs. The blog calendar is full of sing-a-long drop ins and some places even have events all week! New sing-a-longs have been added to the calendar like a Yo Re Mi Free Sing Along at Pipsqueak Children’s Shoppe, Sing Along Amy Miles at 1980 Tea Hut and a Sing-a-long with Rob at Lunitas!
This week The Westminster Kennel Club 138th Annual All Breed Dog Show has daytime events and The New Victory Theater has This Baby Life starting this week that you can check out. You can also visit Jane’s Carousel, eat dinner while listening to City Stomp Live at Dizzy’s and get Breastfeeding Support at Gumbo to just name a few events this week and much more on the calendar!

The Westminster Kennel Club Presents: 138th Annual All Breed Dog Show at the Piers 92/94 (midtown westside)
Mon & Tue Feb 10th & 11th 8a-6p. Tickets: $27.50.
Monday to include hound, toy, non-sporting and herding groups. Tuesday to include sporting, working and terrier groups
Piers ticketing will be a general admission ticket at $27.50 per day plus an online fee. This will allow entrance, to both Piers 92 /94 as well as to all of the benching and judging that is held there. There will be limited seating, as usual around each ring. “Craft a Work of Heart” at West Elm Market (DUMBO)

Help set the world record for the longest paper heart chain! For “Craft a Work of Heart,” West Elm is attempting to make the longest paper heart chain ever and inviting customers to create their own piece of that world record. For every heart that is created, West Elm will donate $1 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The event takes place on Tuesday, February 11th West Elm Market (50 Washington) from 3-6:30pm. At the same time, West Elm Market is hosting a kid-friendly craft event where they can paint a mug (mug must be purchased) to give as a Valentine’s gift. There will also be cookie decorating! Upon completion, the chain will be hung at St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Rob Morrison is a busy children’s performer, teacher and rock musician, playing in the city a few mornings and nights a week. He incorporates movement and dance in his performances and appeals to infants, toddlers and older kids alike. Get ready for Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium! The Children’s Museum of Manhattan and the National Football League have joined together to create an interactive experience at CMOM to celebrate this history-making event. Families will get a rare behind-the-scenes look at NFL officiating and the opportunity to train like an NFL Pro. Special daily and weekly programs and clinics—including NFL’s Play 60 obstacle course—will help families understand how developing better decision-making skills, including working together, planning, organizing and focusing on physical fitness leads to leadership and social success. NFL officials, executives, and current and former players will also stop by the museum through the exhibit’s run.
