NYC schools are open again tomorrow but we still have lots of things to do with the little ones! This is the last week of free weekday entry to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden since February ends this week! The Oscars are next weekend and if you want to see a nominated movie you can head over Nitehawk Cinema with your baby and check out Hawks With Babies! Also you can head to Lark Cafe for a Rolie Polie Guacamole Sing Along with Phranque, listen to a Silly Jazz performance by local musician, Camille Harris at the Park Slope Brooklyn Public Library, check out the Tots Yoga at Bend & Bloom Yoga, eat dinner at Dizzy’s and listen to City Stomp, play with Lego at the Central Brooklyn Public Library and burn some energy at Open Play at The Gym Park!

Lango is hosting two open houses during which you can try out the Mandarin Toddler/Caregiver class. Class description: The playgroup is not just all about fun. It exposes the kids to a wide variety of tastes, smells, textures, colors, and sounds. The teacher will open her world filled by music, colors, and strange creatures, encouraging the children to exercise their imagination in the target language. Tots Yoga (walkers thru 3) with April Cantor. Your babe will celebrate the wonders of mobility, communication, and independent exploration with you in this joyful class. Animated animal poses and imaginative games help toddlers to recognize (and eventually repeat!) patterns and tap their budding creativity. Enjoy stories and play. All FirstRIF members must have a BPL library card to participate in First RIF. Children will be allowed to choose a free RIF book when they join FirstRIF and on their birthday. Children can earn additional RIF books by borrowing and returning 6 library books. A limit of 2 library books per week can be used towards this goal
Hawks with Babies at Nitehawk Cinema (Williamsburg)

Babies welcome! Being a new parent shouldn’t curtail cinema-going which is why Nitehawk happily provides our ongoing Hawks with Babies series. Offering first-run features EVERY TUESDAY AFTERNOON with full food and beverage service, our Hawks with Babies screenings are a great opportunity for new parents to be able to get out of the house and into an afternoon movie with their babies. These scheduled showings bring in a nice group of new parents, making it a comfortable environment for everyone. We find that the best age for these show are babies 1-year or younger. The movie Feb 25th is Oscar nominated Nebraska. An aging, booze-addled father makes the trip from Montana to Nebraska with his estranged son in order to claim a million-dollar Mega Sweepstakes Marketing prize in Alexander Payne’s Nebraska. Run time 115 minutes.

Readers throughout the world have embraced The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint–Exupéry’s tale of an interstellar traveler who comes to Earth in search of friendship and understanding. This exhibition of the original manuscript and watercolor drawings—the most comprehensive ever mounted—explores the American origins of a story that reminds us that what matters most can only be seen with the heart.

Get ready for Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium! The Children’s Museum of Manhattan and the National Football League have joined together to create an interactive experience at CMOM to celebrate this history-making event. Families will get a rare behind-the-scenes look at NFL officiating and the opportunity to train like an NFL Pro. Special daily and weekly programs and clinics—including NFL’s Play 60 obstacle course—will help families understand how developing better decision-making skills, including working together, planning, organizing and focusing on physical fitness leads to leadership and social success. NFL officials, executives, and current and former players will also stop by the museum through the exhibit’s run.
