Breast Cancer Awareness Month is approaching in October and here is something you can do even sooner to raise money and awareness for a very important organization. CancerCare is the leading national organization providing free support services and information to help people manage the emotional, practical and financial challenges of cancer. CancerCare helps one million people each year throughout the U.S. and distributes more than $30 million in financial assistance. You can show your support by signing up for a Walk/Run for Hope.
Walk/Run for Hope is CancerCare’s largest fundraising program bringing together communities to walk or run in memory of those they have lost to cancer, honor survivors, and support those currently facing the disease. The walks take place outside of New York City – so make a day trip out of it, enjoy the foliage and fresh air, and walk or run for a great cause. And if you have friends and family in these towns, please spread the word!
