Introducing classical music appreciation to young children has been popular way before there was Baby Beethoven. The Little Orchestra Society started in the 1940’s and has been putting on productions and educational programs across New York City for decades. They are devoted to performing innovative classical music concerts for children using multiple art forms and amazing artists.
The Little Orchestra Society had their Brooklyn debut this past December with a modern twist on the classic Peter and the Wolf at BAM. They will be back at BAM at the end of the year with Babes in Toyland. Not to be missed!
Coming up next in their Lolli-Pops series aimed at 3-5 year olds are two concerts, Things That Go Bang! in partnership with the New York Percussion Group and Lolli-Pops: World Tour. They will take place at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College. See below for details:

Things That Go Bang!:
Audiences will play tambourines alongside characters Bang and Buzz during Bizet’s March of the Toreadors.
Kids will learn that everyday household objects can make anyone a percussionist!
