Apple Crisp Recipe: Vegan and Gluten Free!

Do you have guests coming to Thanksgiving dinner that are vegan and/or gluten free? Make this simple Apple Crisp- so delicious!

Peel, core, and slice five green apples. Layer in a 9-inch square baking dish, sprinkling lemon juice in between the layers. In a food processor, mix 1 cup oat flour (grind whole oats in the processor to make the oat flour), 1 cup of coconut sugar (or brown sugar), 1/4 tsp. of salt and 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup coconut oil; pulse until well-mixed. Sprinkle topping on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees until apples are bubbly and topping is lightly browned, 50 to 60 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
