The Brooklyn Public Library’s ‘Ready, Set, Kindergarten’ Begins this Weekend

Hello, Brooklyn!

Brooklyn Public Library’s popular school-readiness program, Ready Set, Kindergarten is starting again this weekend! We are now in 31 Brooklyn branches!  Parents, caregivers and children ages 3-5, please join us in exploring math, science and literacy through reading, writing, talking, playing and singing.  If you’d like to explore the RSK curriculum at home, check out our booklists here, and learning tracks here.   See the flyer for dates and locations.

The library is an amazing resource, right in your neighborhood.

Ready, Set, Kindergarten! is now on your phone! If you can’t make it to one of our programs,  sign up for RSK on the Go and we’ll text you early learning tips right to your phone.  Learn more here.

RSK and other First Five Years Programs are supported in part by the New York City Council’s early literacy initiative City’s First Readers.  To learn more about our CFR partners, and the early literacy initiatives and events they offer, check out the City’s First Readers page on the BPL website!

Save the date for the Big Brooklyn Playdate!  Stop by the Central Library on May 4th from 10:30 to noon to enjoy fun games and activities that delight young children and encourage early literacy. Come to play and leave ready to turn ordinary objects in your home into your child’s favorite toys. For babies and toddlers birth to 3 years and their parents and caregivers.

Please help us spread the word by forwarding this message to other interested parties.  Follow BPL’s Facebook page for the latest news!
