Internal Spring cleaning for Women

With Spring just around the corner, you are getting prepared for spring cleaning- with organizing, throwing out the old, making room for the new, remembering that we, as humans, need to take stock in and do our own internal spring cleaning as well! Maybe start off with juicing, or some physical activity, or a cleanse? Or why not try a holistic women’s wellness service called vaginal steaming, a.k.a. “V-steam therapy”, an ancient healing modality practiced by many ancient civilizations. With the use of homeopathic herbs, these treatments are said to do wonders for emotional and physical well-being, cleansing a woman throughout.

While it’s technically not new, as it has been used in ancient medicine for centuries, it is a re-emerging trend in some parts of the U.S. (thanks, in a part, to Gwyneth Paltrow), and is also known as ‘chai-yok’ in Korea, and ‘bajos’ in Central and South America. For those not familiar with what vaginal steaming is, those who practice it think of it like a medicinal, herbal, steam facial for the vagina. What happens in a V-Steam therapy treatment? Basically you sit over a pot of steeping herbs, while the steam enters through the vaginal canal, absorbing all of the medicinal affects of the herbs. It’s said to aid with an array of women’s internal health related issues, such as irregular and painful periods, vaginal cysts, infertility, bladder and yeast infections, hemorrhoids, uterine fibroids, and scarring from childbirth.
