Saturday: Everytown, Moms Demand Action to Host Fourth Annual Brooklyn Bridge March and Rally to End Gun Violence

Gun Safety is a crucial issue for all parents and children in our country. Julianne Moore and Melissa Joan Hart to Join Moms, Gun Violence Survivors and More Than 1,000 Advocates to Support Tough Mothers Everywhere Fighting to Keep Their Families Safe.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a part of Everytown for Gun Safety, will host the fourth annual Brooklyn Bridge March for Gun Sense on Mother’s Day eve, Saturday, May 7. The march will bring together more than one thousand parents, gun violence survivors, cultural influencers and community leaders from New York and around the country committed to preventing the gun violence that kills more than 90 Americans – including seven children or teens – every day and injures hundreds more.

The march will be themed “One Tough Mother” to honor the resilience of moms on Mother’s Day weekend and celebrate the determination of parents and grandparents who will never back down when it comes to keeping their families safe.

  • Julianne Moore, founder of the Everytown Creative Council
  • Melissa Joan Hart, member of the Everytown Creative Council
  • Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America
  • Stephanie Stone, member of the Everytown Survivor Network, whose 14-year-old son, Paul Sampleton, was shot and killed during a home invasion in December 2012
  • Barbara Parker, member of the Everytown Survivor Network whose daughter, Alison, was shot and killed on live TV in August 2015
  • Lucy McBath, national spokesperson for Moms Demand Action, whose son, Jordan Davis, was shot and killed over loud music at a Jacksonville gas station in November 2012
