As parents, everyone is concerned about the state of our environment, and we all try to stay responsible in whatever ways we can. A Child Grows is so happy to announce Town Square’s 9th annual Go Green! Festival that is coming up on Saturday, June 4 from 1-5PM in McCarren Park.
Every Day is Earth Day, and Go Green is the place to discover and learn about sustainability initiatives in North Brooklyn. Find out how to become an active participant in this thriving community while enjoying local food, art and live music. It’s a great opportunity to share with your children the issues that are facing their local environment.
There will be live music, local food, a dance performance, yoga and wellness classes, educational and scientific displays, a Greencycle swap, volunteer park clean up, and the annual Go Green School Challenge. This year, the festival also celebrates the launch of Town Square’s newest initiative, the Go Green Brooklyn hub a new online destination for local environmental news, events and opportunities. Its mission is to increase participation in environmental programs and make our communities better places to live.
