New Design-Driven Children’s Boutique Opens in Williamsburg

We know, there are more precious boutiques laden with unreal treasures all over Brooklyn than we know what to do with, so when we report on a new one, it really has to be good! This particular one, Geometry Kids, is a new children’s shop in Williamsburg and has just opened its doors on September 1st. The shop was conceived by Tassy de Give, co-owner of the popular garden and floral shop Sprout Home, and is owned by a collective of four families with diverse backgrounds ranging from Thailand, Japan, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic. The new shop is located on Grand Street between Kent and Wythe.

Geometry Kids carries a well-curated collection of unique gifts, toys, books, clothing, and gear and embraces handmade, eco-friendly design as well as goods from local artists. The space will host events such as music and storytime, and workshops for local parents.

In addition to Tassy de Give, the four owners of Geometry Kids include Mehiko Kono and Shirley Bryant, floral designers with backgrounds in art and architecture; and Jenny Zimmerman, de Give’s sister who has a background in banking. They sought to create a space that would invite visitors to stay a while with its fresh, clean design and inviting kid’s play area. “As working parents, we wanted to both create a nice space for the neighborhood as well as a place we’d be happy to bring our own kids.”
