As parents, we often need to think several seasons ahead–and wrap our heads around summer camp plans when we’re just trying to get through the polar vortex! Fortunately, as always, we’re here to help you make those tough parenting decisions.
CinemaKidz
The 4th Annual Brooklyn Camp Expo is coming up on February 17th, 2019, 1-4 PM at the Williamsburg Northside Lower School. We’re excited for another great family-friendly event where parents can get to know camps and after school programs from all over Brooklyn (and beyond) while their kids participate in fun activities and games. Camp directors and representatives will gather in one place to talk to parents about their programs, guide them through the process of signing up, and even offer exclusive discounts and prizes to the lucky families who attend.
There are so many amazing camps to choose from in the NYC area, and the Brooklyn Camp Expo is a great opportunity to 
get to know the options before signing up – not to mention a day of fun and FREE indoor activities for the whole family! While you are learning about camps, your kids can do a fun green screen activity with CinemaKidz and play games with the Brooklyn Game Lab. Sarah Conarro, director at The Painted Cloud, will even help us create a giant, colorful collaborative painting.
We are thrilled to welcome back awesome camps like Brooklyn Game Lab, with their always inventive ways to have fun and learn through game play, and the CinemaKidz summer camp, where kids learn the technical process of movie making from start to finish… not to mention the exciting Space Explorers Camp at the Williamsburg Northside School! Of course, if you’re looking for a 
general interest camp for multi-talented kids, we’ll have those too. At the Dodge YMCA Summer Day Camp, kids participate in tons of fun activities and explore a variety of interactive themes while developing self-confidence and essential leadership skills.
We are also very excited to introduce the wonderful new camps and after school programs coming to the expo this year! Brooklyn Music Factory offers an really cool summer camp where kids make music AND climb rocks every day at nearby Brooklyn Boulders, while the Blue Studios STEM Camp allows kids to dig deep into science, engineering, and technical fields and leave with a completed science or engineering project. Champions Martial Arts offers Taekwondo classes and camps that help kids develop self-control and self-discipline (while encouraging them to get active and have fun) at 18 locations around Brooklyn.
Do you have a kid dreaming about becoming a world-renowned ballet dancer? Immerse them in ballet, Swan Lake, and French language at the International Ballet Institute. Aspiring skaters? You can’t miss the super cool skateboarding camps and classes at SKATEYOGI. Still figuring it out? JCC Brooklyn Summer Camp gives kids the opportunity to try out a variety of different activities including swimming, archery, martial arts, soccer, art, dance, theater, and more.
