It may be the best present ever. If something like that is in your skill bank–do it! For the rest of us, we might need a little inspiration. Or wine. For most of us, wine is a good gift unless mom is pregnant or doesn’t drink.

I was just looking through the gift store at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and they have some expensive but really neat candles and some reasonably priced jewelry for a gal who loves flowers. Also note that dresses are up to 20% off at Target until May 4th.

Gifts You Can Make

Here are some things you can make that are much better than another pair of earrings or a scarf for mom or for the matriarchs who have everything (aka grandmothers).

Grandmothers are easier than mothers because they are always happy with a simple picture of the grandkids or a handmade card, but sometimes you want to be a bit more creative.

Note that you need two sheets of glass for each frame. She says to get two frames, but you could just get an extra piece of glass.

It does require you to have flower shaped cookie cutters and an oven. She also recommends using something which claims to be non-toxic (I question that) called Mod Podge to make them last, but I think it is not necessary.
