Monday Toddler Storytime at Seward Park NY Public Library (Lower East Side)
Mondays 1115-1145a in March. Free. Limited to 35 people (caregivers and children combined), first come first served. Please join us! Join us to hear stories, sing songs, and get those wiggles out as you help your active toddler build important early learning skills. Discover ways to promote early literacy at home and meet other caregivers in the neighborhood. Suggested for toddlers/little walkers and their caregivers. Program begins promptly at 11:15 a.m.
Dr. Seuss Birthday Party! at Kings Bay Brooklyn Public Library
Monday March 2nd 3-4p. Free. Come celebrate reading, come celebrate books, come celebrate the life of Dr. Seuss! In honor of Dr. Seuss’ 116th birthday, the Kings Bay Library will be hosting a party with stories and crafts. (Recommended ages 5+)
Skate The Skyline Storytime at South Street Seaport
Monday March 2nd 3-5p. Free with RSVP. Celebrate the joy of reading and the wonder of rhyme at this special Skate the Skyline Storytime on The Rooftop at Pier 17, in conjunction with our local Seaport bookstore, McNally Jackson. Free readings from beloved children’s books are just part of this cozy afternoon in The Rooftop’s Warming Hut—kids can also enjoy other stimulating and seriously fun activities, such as word searches and make-your-own bookmarks. Afterwards, the Winterland Rink will be open until 10pm for guests who would like to purchase tickets to Skate the Skyline.

Babies Only! at Lavender Blues Studios (Bedford Stuyvesant)
Tuesdays 930a-1030a until June 2nd. $22/drop-in. Ages 0 mo – 1 yrs (adult participation required). Babies Only (0-12m)! Lavender Blues is an intimate music & movement class. We sit in a circle, sing songs, play instruments, have movement with our fingers, arms and feet, as well as dance, and play with a ginormous parachute!! Babies only is a special 30 min infants only music class. A bit calmer and more intimate of a group! A lovely bonding experience for baby and you! Please remember to arrive on time to get a great seat! Note: Our special Babies Only! music class is 30 minutes of music and 30 minutes to stay and play!
Spanish for Babies and Toddlers at Blue Marble Ice Cream (Prospect Heights)
Tuesdays 11-1145a until April 7th. $15/drop in. Ages 6 mo – 3 yrs (adult participation required). Toc Toc Spanish is a fun mix of story time, sing-along, dancing, games and puppet show. It’s the perfect opportunity to expose your little one to a second language right when the “language learning window” opens. Don’t worry if you are not a Spanish speaker, parents and caregivers can even learn Spanish with their child!
Toddler Messy Play at Ottendorfer NY Public Library (East Village)
Tuesdays 11a until March 31st. Free. Spend time together creating, playing and exploring sensory activities. Dress in play clothes as the activities may be messy!

CantaEspañol at Gumbo (Boerum Hill)
Wednesdays at 11-1145a until March 25th. Drop ins $25. CantaEspañol is a program designed for children from 5 months to 4 years old. Through songs, musical games, dance, puppets, play instruments and movement, your child will be totally engaged in the Spanish language. In addition, these interactive activities will serve to develop self expression and social skills. Conducted completely in Spanish, the CantaEspañol class will introduce Spanish into your child’s life in a lively and super fun way! Parents and guardians should come ready to play and participate.
La Hora Mágica de los Pequeños at Sunset Park Brooklyn Public Library
Wednesdays 130-230p in March. Free. Cuentos, Juegos, canciones, rimas y actividades divertidas para los pequeños de 1- 5 años. Programa bilingüe en español e inglés. Stories, games, songs, fingerplay, rhymes, and fun activities for Children ages 1-5 years old. Bilingual Spanish/ English.
FunikiJam World Music and Movement at Raising Astoria
Wednesdays 330-415p until April 29th. $25/drop-in. For ages 0-3y. FunikiJam is a musical education program that engages children with musical traditions from across the globe. Every three weeks, we will learn new rhythms, sounds, and songs from a different region of the world. We will make awesome music together using shakers, bells, and other fun instruments. Toddlers and grownups alike can try out their rhythm —or lack thereof— at award-winning programs with FunikiJam’s stellar cast of Broadway performers and professional musicians! Each 45-minute session is jam-packed with 12-15 activities that include singing, dancing, storytelling and lots of instrument play. Note: Strollers must stay outside. Socks are required for adults and children. Doors open 10 minutes before class start time.

Spanish Storytime at Williamsburg Brooklyn Public Library

Wiggles Creative Movement & Dance at Vida’s Brooklyn (Bedford Stuyvesant)
Thursday 11-1145a until March 26th. $23/drop in. Ages 2 – 4 yrs (adult participation required). Join Ms. Ava for a wiggles & giggles creative movement class. Ms. Ava will introduce the students to the basics of dance thru music and fun.
The Little Orchestra Society at Brooklyn Children’s Museum (Crown Heights)
Thursdays 3-345p & 4-445p until March 19th. Pay as you wish hours on Thursdays from 2-6p. Join The Little Orchestra Society in an interactive musical workshop that explores the music of different cultures around the world and engages audiences through movement, song, composition, and an introduction to world instruments. Sessions accommodate up to 25 participants on a first-come, first served basis. This event also happens on Sunday March 8th.

Ed Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-5p and also Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5p. Location: Pier 1. Free. The Ed Center is open for free, drop-in hours three afternoons a week! Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park with our 250 gallon aquarium filled with critters from the East River, a 10’ scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park, crafts, a reading corner, and much more!
The Industry City Ice Rink (Sunset Park)
Wednesdays-Thursdays 4-8p, Fridays 11a-8p, Saturdays 10a-8p and Sundays 10a-5p. Tickets will be $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under, with skate rentals costing $9. Tickets can be purchased on site at IC Ice Rink in courtyard 5/6. The Industry City Ice Rink opens November 30 and welcomes guests to join for an iconic winter experience every Wednesday to Sunday with ice skating theme parties on Fridays + Saturdays. The rink is outside and uncovered, so dress appropriately for an enjoyable and comfortable skate. If you come at a popular time and there’s a line, there are plenty of other activities to fill your time while you wait. Playdate & Mingle Time at Edamama Cute Cuts & More (Williamsburg)
Daily 130-3p. Cash only: $15 per munchkin. Sibling is $25 (two children). Adults are free! Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Invite your friends. While munchkins are rolling around and socializing you can take a breather with your friends! Our space is the most children and family friendly hang out space in the hood. Play dates are an informal and unstructured social events for munchkins 0 to 3 yrs old and their tribe.
Drop-in Storytimes at Stories Bookshop + Storytelling Lab (Park Slope)
Mondays 1130a, 1230p & 3p, Tuesdays 1030a, Wednesdays 1130a & 1230p, Thursdays 1030a & 1130a & Fridays 1130a & 1230p. No sign-up or registration is needed for Storytimes. Weekday Storytimes with our staff are $10 per family, with further discounted Read-y passes available for sale in our bookshop. See website for information.
Survival: The Exhibition at NY Hall of Science
Daily until September 13th. Hours: Monday – Friday, 930a-5p, Saturday & Sunday, 10a-6p. $7 per person, plus NYSCI admission. Free for Members. Become the ultimate survival expert. Test your survival skills. Learn how to build shelter in the forest, find water in the desert, stay warm in the extreme cold. Plus, learn water safety and emergency preparations. Survival culminates in the Adventure Zone Ropes Course and Zip Line, where visitors’ confidence and problem-solving skills are put to the test.
