Looks like everything is closed wit the exception of the Queens Botanical Garden. The Garden remains OPEN and free through the end of March. Please note that the Visitor & Administration Building will be CLOSED to the public until further notice and all events are cancelled.
I have been been notified that there are some changes for weekly children events around Brooklyn. Here is what I have heard so far:
Lavender Music classes are suspended throughout Brooklyn and at their Studio starting March 14th. There will be virtual classroom, classes are Monday – Friday at 10:30a. See website for details.
DeKalb Market Hall is open but sing-a-longs are cancelled and Hopalong Andrew singalongs at other venues are also cancelled for 2 weeks and he is doing Facebook Live events Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10a. See website for details.
Books are Magic is closed for browsing but open for orders & events are cancelled.
Busy Bodies Brooklyn is closing starting Monday March 15th.
NYC places that are closed:
Brooklyn Botanic Garden is closed starting Tuesday March 17th.
Brooklyn Public Library & Queens Public Library are closed starting Monday March 16th.
Brooklyn Children’s Museum is closing starting March 14th and planning on re-opening Saturday April 4th.
New York Transit Museum is closed to the public starting March 14th until further notice.
New York Public Library is closed starting March 14th until the end of the month.
New York Hall of Science closed starting March 14th and until the end of the month.
Museum of the Moving Image will temporarily close March 14th through March 29th.
American Museum of Natural History is closed starting March 13th and no information on when they will reopen.
New-York Historical Society/DiMenna Children’s Museum closing 6p March 13th and will remain closed through the rest of the month.
The Jewish Museum is closed starting March 13th for 2 weeks.
Brooklyn Museum is closed starting March 13th.
BRIC – starting March 13th through March 31st all of their media education classes are postponed, both at BRIC House and Brooklyn Public Libraries. BRIC House will be closed to the public starting March 16th through March 31st.
Children’s Museum of Manhattan closing starting March 14th and will announce when they will reopen.
Environmental Education Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park closed until the end of the month
The Rubin Museum of Art closing 5p March 13th and rest of March per an email notification.
Children’s Museum of the Arts closing starting March 14th and no information on when they are reopening.
The New Victory Theater – The remainder of the New Victory 2019-20 Season has been canceled effective March 13 through June 14, 2020.
New York International Children’s Film Festival last weekend of events on March 14th and 15th events have been cancelled.
The Met Fifth Avenue, The Met Breuer and The Met Cloisters will be temporarily closed as of March 13th and will announce when they are reopening next week.
South Street Seaport Museum closing starting March 13th for two weeks per email notification.
Whitney Museum of Art closed starting March 13th 5p.
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum closing 5p March 13th through Friday March 27th
Queens Museum closed March 13th-20th
