H! I hope everyone is doing ok and I have gathered some more virtual events to help you out during this difficult time.
This week you can enjoy virtual concerts with Mil’s Trills & Lucy Kalantari and also a variety of classes with FunikiJam, Bilingual Birdies, Suzi Shelton, Laurie Berkner, Miss Alexia, Breezy, Patrick and Lavender Music.
The Brooklyn Public Library is very busy adding virtual events to their calendar so you should check it daily to see if there are any additional events. Also in case you haven’t heard the three free “Grab & Go” meals are now available for all New Yorker’s Monday-Friday. See this website for all the details and locations.

Monday April 6th
FunikiJam’s MUSIC GARDEN! LIVE online with Captain Jam & Others
Mondays-Fridays 1030-11a until June 19th. Ages 3 mo – 9 yrs (adult participation required). $17.50/class. Note: M, W & F is with Captain Jam. Tue is with Agents of Jam & Thursdays is with Agent Sbrexy (Andrea from Italy). Here’s the thing: kids like to have fun. And, while parents want their kids to have fun, too, they also want them to learn a little something at the same time. A circle of kids clapping their hands to a dude with a guitar is great, sure, but wouldn’t it be even better if kids can also learn to be global citizens, express their individuality and improve their motor development at the same time? Notes: We will send you a Zoom link and password 30 minutes before the event. If you enroll less than 30 minutes before, this email will come at the same time as your confirmation. BPL: Brain Break for Kids!
Monday April 6th 330-4p. Free. A “brain break” for ages 5/6 and up to take care of all that stuffy, pent-up, stuck-inside energy. Tuesday April 7th
Stomp, Clap & Sing with Mil’s Trills Virtual
Tuesday April 7th 11a. Free. Mil’s Trills is performing a *special online concert* to help kids and families cope with being stuck at home. Tune in, connect, and engage with original playful uplifting songs, special guests, and interactive songwriting activities that will get your creative juices flowing! Virtual Music with Breezy
Tuesdays & Thursday 1115a-12n, Wednesdays & Fridays 4-445p until May 15th. $20/class. For ages 3m-4y. Classes are 45 minutes and will be structured just like our in person sessions starting with the Hello! song, followed by small movement songs, sticks songs, shaker & guitar songs, stand up with scarves song, a dance song, a jam song, lullaby and the Goodbye! song. Please note, there is one person running these classes, so kindly register no later than 15 minutes before class starts allow time for payment & registration. Register here.

Alexia’s Online Music Class
Wednesdays 11-1135a. For ages 3 mo – 5 yrs (adult participation required for kids under 3). $15/class. Join Miss Alexia, a music therapist in the making for a lovely music class for your little ones! BPL: The Bear Report and Arctic Drawing
Wednesday April 8th 330-430p. Free. Thyra Heder reads her book The Bear Report and guide kids through making an arctic drawing, exploring the idea of negative space by using the white of the paper for the white of the ice…and we add a bear! View the broadcast at 330p here.

Stay Home Sing Together Online Kids Concerts with Lucy Kalantari
Thursday April 9th 3p and Tuesdays & Thursdays 3p until April 21st. Free. RSVP here. Stay home, sing together is a free weekly kids concerts for little kids and their families during the covid-19 pandemic. It’s volunteer run and supported join us. Bilingual Birdies Zoom Classes
Wednesdays 11 (Mandarin), Thursdays 11a (Spanish), Fridays 11a (French). Pricing: Weekly: $15 per week of unlimited access to classes, Monthly: $40 per month of unlimited access to classes, Semester: $120 for an entire four months of unlimited access to classes. Experience the bilingual magic from home with virtual classes for kids up to age 6! Learn & practice languages at home through singing, dancing, and puppetry! Beginning March 25th interactive 30-minute classes will be held live by our top bilingual teaching musicians who will enchant your child while they increase their vocabulary and celebrate diversity! Daily at 1p. Free. Mo Willems invites YOU into his studio every day for his LUNCH DOODLE. Learners worldwide can draw, doodle and explore new ways of writing by visiting Mo’s studio virtually once a day for the next few weeks. Grab some paper and pencils, pens, or crayons and join Mo to explore ways of writing and making together. If you post your art to social media, be sure to hashtag it with #MoLunchDoodles! Children’s Museum of Manhattan at Home
Activities in a daily email newsletter. Free. While the Museum is closed, our CMOM educators are still working to fill your child’s day with engaging interactive activity. CMOM can still be a part of your day through videos, sing-a-longs, games and so much more for you to do together with your family at home!
