Jumpin’ Jams Online Music Class
Mondays 945-103a until June 8th. For ages 3m-6y. $15/class. This is a LIVE online, interactive version of our hoppin’ music classes! You can login thru Zoom (we’ll send you the link, once registered) and join the fun! We will go on a musical train ride, get down and boogie, and check out different instruments while jamming along with fun, age appropriate music. Many of the movement based songs are designed to reinforce early language development and an understanding of the world around them. Come jam with us! BPL: Book Adventures-Owl Babies

Virtual Picassos Online Art Class ~ Kehinde Wiley Self Portraits
Wednesday May 13th 10-1035a. $10/class. For ages 5-10y. Kehinde Wiley Self Portraits
We’ll get inspiration from the contemporary artist Kehinde Wiley to create our own layered and colorful self portraits! Bring the Private Picassos experience to your home! This new online class will allow students to explore new art techniques, using basic art supplies and household items that we all have on hand. 24 hours before your class, parents will be sent a PDF with online meeting link, a detailed lesson plan, necessary art supplies (with suggested substitutions) and an extra project to try on their own. Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts: Etienne Charles
Wednesday May 13th 4p. Free. With his music, Etienne Charles celebrates a cross-section of cultures from the African Diaspora. As a composer and performer from Trinidad and Tobago, he pays homage to the folk traditions, stories, and musical styles of his homeland. Enjoy this special concert by his band, Creole Soul, as it brings the danceable excitement of Caribbean music to families at home. Watch the performance here.

Little Bandits: Online class with Ellen
Thursdays 1030a until June 11th. For ages 6m-5y. Join link here and activity access information will be sent by email. Little Bandits is a weekly music class for toddlers created by Jeanna Phillips and Alex Thrailkill in Brooklyn, New York to introduce young children to the joy of creating music together. We’re bringing our music classes online, so you can jam out with us from the comfort of your home! All classes are free to access, though we kindly suggest a donation of $15 per class (or whatever amount you are able). This can be paid via Sawyer at the time of registration, or via Venmo. 50% of our net proceeds every week go to a different organization providing support and relief to folks who are most deeply affected by the global health crisis. Children’s Museum of Manhattan at Home
Activities in a daily email newsletter. Free. While the Museum is closed, our CMOM educators are still working to fill your child’s day with engaging interactive activity. CMOM can still be a part of your day through videos, sing-a-longs, games and so much more for you to do together with your family at home!
