Monday May 18th
Smith Street Workshop: Let’s Sing en Français
Mondays 10-1045a until June 8th. For ages 6m-4y. $15/class. This French music class is designed for children from 6 months to 4 years. The children will not only learn traditional French music, but they will also experience Anath’s original songs as they play with rhymes, tonal and rhythm patterns, and instrumental play-alongs. Each child will participate in his/her own developmental level by singing moving, chanting, listening, observing and exploring French music. We will connect via Zoom remotely. Group online sessions foster a sense of community, and help not feel so isolated in our confinement. All you need is your child, and some kitchen utensils. We hope you will enjoy our sessions, hoping this can create some consistency for your child, and brighten up your daily routine. Note: Caregiver participation is required. Creatively Wild Art Studio: Virtual Playtime for Toddlers with DM & BLU
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays 10-1045a until May 29th (none Monday May 25th). $20/class. Suitable for Toddlers ages 22 months- 3.5 yrs. Brought to you in the comfort of your own home, our fun online playtime class hosted by DM (our creative director /owner) will include an awesome art project, a story & a sing-song! Brought to you in the comfort of your own home during these challenging times. This is a 45 minute immersive adventure & the perfect way to keep your tiny one engaged & inspired. Art nurtures each child’s development and helps them make creative choices, gain confidence, we will set a cool art project every morning, you will be amazed at what your little one can create! Brooklyn Public Library: Suzi Shelton
Tuesday May 19th 11a-12n. Free. Geared for families with children ages 0-5 yrs. Join local favorite family performer Suzi Shelton as she returns to the Brooklyn Public Library for a virtual fun-filled musical performance featuring songs from her recent award-winning album, “Hand In Hand,” as well as old favorites. You can expect ladybugs, raindrops, firetrucks and even her lovable pal Cinnamon Bear to make an appearance. Suzi will be streaming the show live from her living room on her facebook page. Child’s Play NY: Frozen Adventures – Virtual Theater Class
Tuesdays at 230p through June 16th. $25/class. For grades K-2. Child’s Play NY has translated our award-winning theater classes into on-line programming that kids around the world can join. Our typical classes bring out joy, laughter and connectedness – our remote classes are no different. Students will bravely go “Into the Unknown” in this musical theater class that will have them singing and dancing their way into winter! Drawing inspiration from the original Snow Queen fairy tale as well as the popular films, kids will play in character.. Theater games and improvs will have them racing reindeer, getting lost (and found!) in the woods, building snowmen and belting out loud to unite the kingdoms! Register here.

Kula Yoga Kids: Free Online “Hungry Caterpillar” Kids Yoga Class
Wednesdays 10-1030a. Free. For ages 1.5-6yrs. This preschool online yoga class is “The Hungry Caterpillar” based on the popular kids book by Eric Carle. We learn about the lifecycle of a caterpillar, along with good eating habits and nutrition while we move in animal asana and breath to bring our growing minds to their peaceful state of being. This is a pre-recorded class and can be accessed anytime here.

The Great Room: Online Music with Kyle
Thursdays 11a. $10/family suggested. You can find Kyle joyfully sharing a wide mix of upbeat and bittersweet tunes with folks of all ages in and around the NYC and Hudson Valley areas (and temporarily throughout the virtual world…). He is happy to partner with The Great Room to share a mix of popular tunes that will be fun and engaging for small folks and big folks alike! Intrepid Museum’s Virtual Astronomy LIVE Program
Thursday May 21st 330-5p. Free. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will present a Virtual Astronomy Live program on Thursday May 21st a free event with astronauts Garrett Reisman and Mike Massimino previewing the upcoming launch of Demo-2, the first crewed launch of NASA astronauts on U.S. soil since 2011. The Demo-2 mission will represent a major breakthrough for Elon Musk’s SpaceX, which has launched spacecraft, satellites and cargo into space, but never astronauts. Demo-2 is set to liftoff for the International Space Station from Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 4:32 p.m. ET on May 27. The launch, with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley in a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule on top of a Falcon 9 rocket, will mark the first time a rocket will carry astronauts into orbit from the United States since NASA’s Space Shuttle program retired almost a decade ago. Chiquiticos, LLC: Online Music-Based Spanish Class
Fridays 7-730a until June 19th. $20/drop in. Ages 2 – 6 yrs (adult participation required). This is a fascinating encounter with a non-native language, designed for all types of students – both those with or without Spanish speaking experience. Take the classes with teacher Maria! Her classes consist of a 30 minutes live-stream musical experience each week. She uses Zoom Communications to teach the class where your child will learn basic Spanish vocabulary through songs and play. Students will learn songs in order to grasp the concepts being taught. They will learn basic vocabulary, simple expressions for everyday use and a different topic of the day for each class. Note: Parent’s will receive the conferencing link via email prior to the class! BPL: Irish Dance

Children’s Museum of Manhattan at Home
Activities in a daily email newsletter. Free. While the Museum is closed, our CMOM educators are still working to fill your child’s day with engaging interactive activity. CMOM can still be a part of your day through videos, sing-a-longs, games and so much more for you to do together with your family at home!
