If you haven’t seen this yet, hurry, it’s almost over. The festival runs May 29 through June 7.

As part of the Brooklyn Film Festival, KidsFilmFest presents two programs of films tailored for two groups of young viewers: 3 to 7  &  8 to 15.

We watched the 3-7 category and it was great for it’s original content short films that present something very different than what you typically see on Netflix and the like.

These films are free but a bit hard to find. You need to Register then head over to the Theater Lobby and scroll down to the kidsfilmfest from there.

My favorite was the Amazing Adventures of Awesome for its original perspective from a young girl with autism. My daughter loved the Little Thinks. That one didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but was beautiful. If you are just looking for unique content which is different from what your kids might normally watch, you can probably skip the Space Bears.

Here is the 3-7 Line-up. Check out the website for the 8-15 version.
