Monday June 8th

The Muse Brooklyn: Silly Games with Yoni & Angela
Mondays 5p in June. FREE – donations greatly appreciated . Connect online and play! The Muse, Brooklyn’s contemporary circus school, invites kids and adults alike to join in for a silly circus games session every Monday. Taught by leading circus arts professionals, Yoni & Angela, it’s the perfect way to relax, get moving and have fun! No prepping needed – just be prepared for an hour of silliness! Live Panel Show! (and Tell): You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown
Monday June 8th 710p. Free. For our fifth Virtual Company Reunion in our Live Panel Series, we revisit our exciting 2016 production of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, the first production of the show to feature a cast of young professional performers, most with Broadway credentials. York’s James Morgan and theatre historian Charles Wright will moderate a live panel discussion with director Michael Unger and music director Eric Svejcar, along with several cast members. Tuesday June 9th

Virtual Museum Mile Festival
Tuesday June 9th 9a-9p. Free. Join us for the first ever day-long virtual Museum Mile Festival! Throughout the day, eight NYC museums will host live and pre-recorded programs, virtual exhibition tours, live musical performances, and activities for families streamed across their respective websites and social media platforms. Culture enthusiasts from around the world will now be able to join New Yorkers, during this unprecedented moment, and enjoy the festival. Follow along with the hashtag #VirtualMuseumMile and join us along with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Neue Galerie New York, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Cooper Hewitt, The Jewish Museum, El Museo del Barrio and The Africa Center.

Stomp, Clap, and Sing with Gustafer Yellowgold
Tuesday June 9th 11a-12n. Free. Gustafer Yellowgold’s Show is a funny and touching multimedia performance of music, colored pencil animations and storytelling. The music and ‘moving art’ shows are performed by two-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, cartoonist, and author, Morgan Taylor. With its unique crossover appeal, the show has even been the wild-card opening act for Wilco and The Polyphonic Spree. All of the songs are whimsical and super catchy narratives that explain the life of a friendly alien from the Sun who now resides in a wildly imaginative version of the woods of Minnesota. The new live shows include abridged versions of I’m From The Sun and The Minnesota Chronicles Audible Originals along with evergreen fan-favorites. Wednesday June 10th

Opera Lafayette Online Program: Opera Starts with Oh!
Wednesdays 1030a until July 1st. Free. We are bringing our family opera program to you at home. Every Wednesday morning, we invite you to join us for a live session of artistic playtime with our teaching and guest artists à la Opera Lafayette! We believe that opera can be for everyone because it combines all the arts and humanities. Opera starts with Oh! unravels these components in fun and informative ways, and Opera becomes magical and approachable! Led by internationally trained director, choreographer, and teaching artist, Emma Jaster (more below), and featuring guest artists, Opera starts with Oh! is perfect for families with children 3 – 6 years old. NYPL Online Storytime: Bilingual Birdies Storytime with Myla Birdie
Wednesday June 10th 2p. Free. Join Myla Birdie as she reads “Nuestra Granja” an original Bilingual Birdies book illustrated by Miranda Bruce. Sing songs as you take a journey to the farm to meet all of the animals! Learn all the names of the most fun farm animals en español while you dance around in your home! Bilingual Birdies shares their popular hip tunes like the “Hola Song” and “Adiós Amigos” among other favorites in this session where they’ll debut their new original book for the first time ever! Thursday June 11th

Shining Kids Yoga: Rise & Shine Yoga Online (Ages 6-11)
Thursdays 9-940a until June 25th. $15/class. For ages 6-11y. Wake up and get ready for your day with an energizing yoga practice just for kids! In this class, children will learn yoga poses and breathing exercises that will help them to feel energized and focused for the day ahead. Note: This class will take place via the Zoom app. Parental supervision is recommended. Register here.

Stomp, Clap and Sing with Louie Miranda
Thursday June 11th 2-3p. Free. Louie Miranda has been dazzling the hearts of children, parents & teachers everywhere he goes. He is unique, original & loved by an ever-growing population across the country! He has played with numerous ensembles performing music in a wide variety of styles. Friday June 12th

The Actors Gymnasium: Tumbling
Fridays 9-945a until June 26th. $15/class. For 1st graders. Learn early tumbling skills in this fun and creative class! Students will play games, practice basic tumbling skills and meet friends in this class designed to introduce fundamental circus skills. Register here.

Karma Kids: ZOOM Pajama Yoga for ages 4 +
Fridays 7-745p. $10/class. Karma Kids Yoga ZOOM Pajama Yoga for ages 4 + with Shari Vilchez-Blatt. You must register here at least 1 hour prior to class. Be sure to download the zoom app at zoom.us. You will receive an invite email with the class code and link approximately 45 minutes before the class. A few minutes before class, click on the meeting invite and wait for your teacher to start!

Brooklyn Public Library Vitural Storytimes
Daily usually at 11a & 2p. Free. Sometimes the storytimes are on the Brooklyn Public Library Family facebook page and othertimes they are on a specific branch facebook page. See the website for all the details.

Creatively Wild Art Studio: Creative Playtime for Toddlers with DM & BLU
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9-945a until August 31st. $20/class (class packages also available). Suitable for Toddlers ages 22 months- 3.5 yrs. Our fun, engaging summer online playtime class for Toddlers is hosted by our very own DM (our creative director /owner) and will include an awesome art project, a story & a sing-song! Brought to you in the comfort of your own home during these challenging times. This is a 45 minute immersive adventure & the perfect way to keep your tiny one engaged & inspired. Art nurtures each child’s development and helps them make creative choices, gain confidence, develop fine motor skills. New York Public Library Virtual Storytime
Mondays-Fridays 10a until June 30th. Free. End times are approximate. Events may end early or late. For children, infants to age 18 months, ages 18 to 36 months, ages 3 to 5 years, children. The Hopalong Andrew Show

Mondays 10a & Mondays-Fridays 6p and Saturdays 10a. All shows are free and will continue until this crisis ends and we can return to our normal routines. Children’s Museum of Manhattan at Home
Activities in a daily email newsletter. Free. While the Museum is closed, our CMOM educators are still working to fill your child’s day with engaging interactive activity. CMOM can still be a part of your day through videos, sing-a-longs, games and so much more for you to do together with your family at home! Sign up for emails here (go all the way down the page on the right hand side for email sign up). From slime-making, dance parties and being transported to Japan with a recipe for sushi, to making animal puppets from recycled materials around the house, creating a bedtime routine and storytimes, “CMOM at Home” is sure to delight.
