Bastille Day Celebration 2020: Kids Afropeps Ball
Monday July 13th 12n-1230p. Free virtual dance party. LIVE on Zoom and Facebook. RSVP. As part of FIAF’s Bastille Day festivities, join us for an exuberant virtual dance party celebrating the songs and steps of West Africa. Break out your best traditional and urban moves! Kids are invited to dress up in their favorite party clothes. Inspired by La Sape subcultures of West Africa, dancer and choreographer Jean-Paul Mehansio invites kids to put on their best party clothes to cut a rug at home in an energizing and galvanizing exploration of West African culture. Specially adapted for Zoom, this virtual demonstration—accompanied by music—of African movements in an interactive experience of cultural discovery, will teach kids and parents traditional and more contemporary urban dances to driving beats. Clear some space in your living room and be ready to join the fun!
Summer Reading: Spin, Pop, Boom
Monday July 13th 2-230p. Free. Are you ready for some fun science? Witness amazing feats of chemistry as we explore all sorts of spectacular reactions. Karma Kids: Frozen Yoga Adventure 2
Tuesday July 14th 3-345p at your home, live on Zoom! Fee is $15 per child. Register here to reserve a space for your child. There’s no time to build a snowman! Join Elsa and Ana as they go north across the Enchanted Lands, into the unknown, in search for the truth of why she has her powers. We’ll strengthen our bodies and focus our minds as we have some true challenges ahead of us in the monstrous mountains. Let’s hope that our powers are strong enough to save the kingdom. Amazing Animals with the Brooklyn Children’s Museum

Whether they can regrow a tail or lift 1,000 times their weight, our animal friends at Brooklyn Children’s Museum have super powers! All animals, including humans, have unique gifts that help us to survive, grow, solve problems, and live our daily lives. In this online program, we’ll explore the science of regeneration and expert survival skills through this interactive workshop with our reptiles, insects, and spiders. Children’s Museum of Manhattan at Home
Activities in a daily email newsletter. Free. While the Museum is closed, our CMOM educators are still working to fill your child’s day with engaging interactive activity. CMOM can still be a part of your day through videos, sing-a-longs, games and so much more for you to do together with your family at home!
