Monday September 28th
Toc Toc: Virtual Spanish for 2 and 3-year-olds
Mondays-Fridays 11-1130a or 2-230p. $12/class (class packs also available). Register here. Our class Spanish for 2 and 3-year-olds (Beginners, Non-Spanish speakers welcome) introduces Spanish to kids in a fun way through songs and games. The class is 50% in Spanish and 50% in English, it’s perfect for kids who are not familiar with the language. The kids will learn basic Spanish vocabulary: colors, numbers, and animals, such as manners and good habits in Spanish. Check out the curriculum, videos, and the teacher’s schedules here.
Luckybird Music: Luckybird Babies at North Pacific Playground (Boerum Hill)
Mondays 1130a-1210p until December 21st. $25/class. Ages 0 mo – 1 yrs (adult participation required). Come join us for singing some classics (remixed with pop and Broadway of course), dancing, and story time! Have a favorite shaker or mini percussion instrument? Bring it along for some extra beats! Our classes incorporate Kodaly, Orff, and Dalcroze Eurythmics to bring your child the best in music education. Register here.

Tuesday September 29th
Toddler Art Adventures at Private Picassos (Park Slope)
Tuesdays 1115a-12n until October 6th. Ages 1.5 – 4 yrs (adult participation required). $28/class. Register here. Budding toddler artists will explore paint, crayons, oil pastels, collage materials, air-dry clay and recycled sculpture in this process-oriented art class. Themes for projects include NYC, outer space, animals, opposites and much more. This curriculum is a great introduction to a structured class for young artists and will help strengthen their fine motor skills and ability to represent the world around them.
Dancewave: Virtual Creative Movement
Tuesdays 330-415p until January 12th. $20/drop-in. For ages 3-6y. Introductory class; playful prompts and guided explorations; highly imaginative; engagement with props, sensations and sound.

Karma Kids: Yoga Story Time
Wednesdays 1130a. Free to all! Yoga Story Time on Instagram Live every Wednesday! Each week we will share new books and make them come alive with yoga poses! Jack & the Beanstalk at Puppetworks (Park Slope)

Conservancy Day Of Celebration in Brooklyn Bridge Park
Thursday October 1st 8a-630p. Free. Thursday is Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Day of Celebration! In honor of the recent 5th Anniversary of the Environmental Education Center and the return to programming in the park, they have a free, fun-filled day of virtual education programming and in-park fitness too. Virtual Music with Andy and Suzanna
Thursday October 1st 3-4p. Free. Join us for virtual music time with Andy and Suzanna! The recommended age group for this program is 0-6 years. This program is FREE, but pre-registration is required. Register here. The classes will be hosted through Zoom and the link will be sent out to all registered participants one hour in advance of the program.

Star Stories with the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
Friday October 2nd 10-11a. Free. This program is intended for 9-12 years old and families. Register here. For millennia, people have gazed at the night sky and told themselves stories about the pictures they see there. These same stars and constellations also allowed sailors to find their way back to port. Using images of the night sky, stories from different cultures and examples of simple navigation tools, an Intrepid Educator will help participants view their sky in a whole new way!
Online Drag Queen Story Hour: Princesses! with Yuhua Hamasaki
Friday October 2nd 2p. Free. Drag Queen Story Hour NYC presents a special virtual storytime with Yuhua Hamasaki! A visual schedule guides your child through a princess-themed program that includes: Princess Hair by Sharee Miller, The Princess and the Pony by Kate Beaton, Guided activity: Make your own crown! (Materials: paper, scissors, glue, tissue paper) and Movement break. Join us here!

Biking, Boating + Splash Pad in Prospect Park
Open daily. Hours: Boating + Biking: daily, 10a- 8p & Splash Pad (water play): daily, 10a-dusk. Splash pad is free see website for biking & boating rates. COVID-19 Update: Please note that starting Saturday, August 1, the LeFrak Center at Lakeside will be open daily for biking, boating and water play, with food and drink available for takeaway from the Bluestone Cafe. Please note that our water play feature, Splash Pad, is not regularly sanitized, and patrons are requested to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines posted on site, including adhering to mask wearing and social distancing protocols.
Rollerskating at Lakeside in Prospect Park
Daily 12n-6p until mid October. Pricing: $6 admission & $7 skate rentals on weekdays and $10 admission, $7 skate rentals on weekends (weekend pricing begins 4p Fridays). Roller Skating is BACK! COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed, including mask-wearing and social distancing protocols. Skating will operate at reduced capacity. Come get moving with us at Lakeside! Lakeside’s outdoor roller skating rink provides fun for kids, tweens, and adults alike. Skate to a mix of pop hits while taking in views of Prospect Park Lake. Spineless Exhibit at The New York Aquarium (Coney Island)
Daily 10a-4p (park closes 5p) until October 31st. Admission included with ticket. All visitors must reserve a date-specific ticket in advance. Please check Know Before You Go for details. We have great news: The New York Aquarium is reopening on August 27! Buy tickets to see all of your favorite marine animals today and enjoy summer on Coney Island! Explore Spineless, our latest exhibit, and marvel and the jellies, octopus, and more. Come wave hello to Erie the sea lion and Murphy the Harbor Seal. Relax in Ocean Wonders: Sharks! and watch the rays, sharks, and turtles.
Free Bike Mornings on Governors Island
Mondays-Fridays 10a-12n. Free. Blazing Saddles offers bikes, surreys, pedal cars, scooters and more for rental. Free Bike Mornings allow visitors to borrow a bike from Blazing Saddles for free for up to one hour every weekday between 10 AM and noon. Come visit Blazing Saddles at the north end of Colonels Row and bike the Island! This year you need a reservation for the ferry. See the website for all the details.

The Nature of Color Exhibit at American Museum of Natural History (UWS)
Museum is open Wednesdays-Sundays with timed entry tickets are available 10a-4p (museum closes 530p). Exhibit is open until March 8, 2021. Select a General Admission + One or General Admission + All ticket, choose date and time of entry to the Museum, then select The Nature of Color. Reserve tickets here. Our world is awash in color. Color makes the world feel vibrant and alive. But that’s not all. Color helps us make sense of the world. It contains vast amounts of information—about the natural world, and the human world. Come and explore the world of color in this immersive exhibition.
Children’s Museum of Manhattan at Home
Activities in a daily email newsletter. Free. While the Museum is closed, our CMOM educators are still working to fill your child’s day with engaging interactive activity. CMOM can still be a part of your day through videos, sing-a-longs, games and so much more for you to do together with your family at home! From slime-making, dance parties and being transported to Japan with a recipe for sushi, to making animal puppets from recycled materials around the house, creating a bedtime routine and storytimes, “CMOM at Home” is sure to delight.
