Grammy Winner Lucy Kalantari Releases New EP ‘What Kind of World’

When my husband came home from recording for a song on Lucy Kalantari’s new EP, he told me it sounded like something from a Disney soundtrack. Am I saying Ms. Kalantari has written the new “Let It Go”? Maybe.

So I might be biased, but I love the songs What Kind of World and Friendship Party. Just like her Grammy-winning album, ALL THE SOUNDS, this is music that is not only for kids. It’s music you can listen to on repeat in the car (and my kid makes me) and not lose your mind. Check out the swinging youtube video for Friendship Party below.

From the publicist:

What Kind of World? (Out TODAY), a brand new 5 song EP releasing on 8 Pound Gorilla Records. This inspiring and upbeat collection is full of positive lessons. On her 5th studio recording, Lucy shows the impressive evolution of her art and her continued understanding of today’s youth. On these new songs the musician and songwriter pours her emotions and dreams into music meant to motivate and unite. This heartfelt original recording celebrates the strength of community and highlights the joy that comes from joining together. It reminds us that we are not alone and that we are capable of more than we sometimes realize.
