Trail Blazers

Trail Blazers LogoSince 1887, Trail Blazers has been where young people go outside to grow within:

-Prospect Park Day Camp (Grades PreK-5): Join us in Brooklyn’s Backyard for hands-on environmental science learning and play.
-Brooklyn Bridge Day Camp (Grades K-5): In partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, we’ll explore and learn about Brooklyn’s waterfront.
-Morningside Park Day Camp (Grades K-4): In partnership with Morningside Park Conservancy, campers will explore and connect to nature in this northern Manhattan park.
-Farmstead Overnight Camp (Grades 3-6): In partnership with Stony Creek Farmstead, this adventure is rooted in experiencing the farm-to-fork process.
-Adventure Overnight Camp (Grades 1-10): At our 1000-acre campsite, we’ll build outdoor skills, learn environmental science principles, and enjoy biking and canoe adventures.

Trail Blazers is a 501c3 nonprofit; scholarships are available to help keep programs accessible to all.

Please note that A Child Grows does not certify or inspect these camps (we don’t have the ability or resources to do that) so parents must use their own best judgement. NYC licenses some camps but it doesn’t apply to all camps and we can’t check that or know all the details. Here is a good article that may help:
